  1. Good episode. Wish it had been longer. You say that there’s currently a lack of deals out there, but is this really anything new? Has there been a noticeable shift in 2014 with a tightening of inventory or an increase in competition among veteran commercial RE investors and SFR investors who are moving into the space? Or do you mean that owners of apartment buildings are holding tight to their properties and not entertaining any offers unless they’re premium offers?

    I live in the Northeast, so it’s a given that I’ll have to invest elsewhere. I recently attended a multifamily investing workshop on Long Island and everyone I met was looking for apartment complexes in the Midwest and Southeast. Not a single person was looking in the Northeast for obvious reasons.
