Here are a few web resources to help you track the commercial real estate market and economy for local markets as well as nationwide (thanks to Craig Haskell for the initial list). These resources are great for learning your local market, but also if you're considering investing out of area, too.
- Globest:Â www.globest.com: commercial real estate news
- Costar:Â www.costar.com: this site requires a paid subscription. But Google for “costar advisor” and sign up for their free, weekly newsletter with news and updates for up to three national markets.
- Multi-Housing News:Â www.multihousingnews.com: free commercial real estate news and market data.
- CP Executive:Â www.cpexecutive.com: commercial real estate news by region.
- Multi Family Executive:Â www.multifamilyexecutive.com: focus on apartment buildings
- NREI Online:Â www.nreionline.com: news segmented by area and asset type.
- REIS Reports:Â www.reisreports.com/blog: market and sub-market analysis , sales and rental comps (paid but with free trial)
- Realty Rates Cap Rate index:Â www.realtyrates.com/commentaryg.html
Hope you find this useful and you're having a great day!
What other useful research resources do you use or know about?
Such resources are greatly appreciable; would mostly be very beneficial for one looking for commercial deals, especially in local areas or out of demographic boundaries when it is only limited to having sufficient field knowledge. Getting updated with existing market trends does help much, inspiring property buyers to keep eyes on properties and approach them on right time.
